ADVOCATE Clinical Trial Reveals Impact of Ceramide Infused Skin Barrier

Learn the results of the ADVOCATE clinical trial, which showed the impact of a ceramide infused skin barrier on cost of care and patient satisfaction.

The ADVOCATE trial is a double-blinded, randomized, controlled study. It compares ostomy-related costs and incidence of peristomal skin complications (PSCs) for a ceramide infused ostomy skin barrier versus a control skin barrier.

This type of evidence offers credible data to help support evidence-based clinical decision making. It also demonstrates positive outcomes with the use of a ceramide infused barrier – the CeraPlus™ skin barrier with Remois Technology.* The CeraPlus™ skin barrier is carefully formulated, and infused with ceramide, to create an environment where healthy skin can thrive.
